Recently, I installed Vista on a separate partition on a laptop, I didn't like it so I removed it.
I have XP on another partition
It is a genuine Microsoft product but I didn't want to register or activate it to my computer as I want to install it on my grand-sons laptop, and if I have it right, it can only be activated on one machine. Though I much prefer XP
Because I wouldn't register Vista I couldn't access Add or Remove, I had to remove Vista by; right clicking on D: and clicking on format in the drop down box.
That part went OK, but when I start the computer the boot up menu lists Vista as the default O.S. but the partition is empty.
How can I remove the Vista name?
A Google search showed this
http://www.area59.org/vistabootpro/dl/VistaBootPRO_3.1.0.exe
but it seems a little complicated and it's the only entry in English
All advice appreciated.
