Removing this stuff from bricks?

Hi all

The word I'm looking for escapes me completely but this stuff was used by the previous owners to hold a sign on the wall.

It's extremely hard and I'm wondering how to clean it up without damaging my wall.

Any suggestions jump to mind please?

No idea but maybe try heat from a hot air stripper, and also brick acid
Test a small area

My thoughts exactly! The wife got one but it's about 4 inches too short, so I'm with you here I think - think of a name for the house, then just cover it!

I second the jet washer, if you get a powerful one, it should get it right off. If you dont want to buy one you can normally rent a gooden pretty cheap.

It could well be pink gripfil. Give the sealant removal a go, then get a larger sign if it doesn'
