render internal brick wall for sound

I;ve taken off about 1.5 cm of plaster render to a fairly clean finish because it was roller painted and want rid of the texture.

whats the most cost effective way to redo this 2.5x4 m wall, 3:1 sand cement with plasticiser and coloured dye? (dont want to paint it)

i figured it is heavier than plaster so theres likely to be a tad more sound insulation if that would help though probably not by much.

Render 4-1 mix with feb then skim it
