Looking for some opinions on this, new driveway with new rendered block
Wall.

50mm gap between beading and driveway block on the right and no gap on the left

Builder is suggesting that this is for drainage…. Makes no sense to me. Does this require completely removing and starting again or can new line of beading be added and fixed?

I was away for the day but assume they laid the paving stones afterwards….

Assume nothing. Do you own a spirit level or a tape measure? Measure the render height both ends of the wall, check the wall top, the bead and the blocks for level.
Quite likely the driveway has been set to a slight fall (so you don't get water ponding) but the builder forgot to tell whoever did the render.
If that is the case (so wall top and render bead are level, render height consistent across the wall) then it isn't really a fault. The driveway fall is for drainage, aesthetically it'll look a bit odd and no you can't just tack another bit of bead on.

There is indeed a runoff on the driveway left to right but the render is 100mm shorter on the right so looks like render is running off in the other direction

So if the the difference in height was say 12" would that also be acceptable? Or would it be right to keep the render bead paralel with the road? Builders screwed up, they should fix it.

If top and bottom were parallel it would be a defendable mistake. As it is you're quite right, it's a cockup and needs sorting.
Looks like whoever did the render doesn't know his left from his right....
