As the title I'm hoping to render and then tile the side wall of my patio steps, It's about 1-2 mm wide but goes all the way from top to bottom ( about 50cm), first time trying out rendering so I'm all new to this.
Wall is made out of concrete bricks.
Do I need to apply a wire mesh before the scratch coat? or anyhting else or nothing at all?
If applying wire mesh is the answer then do I apply it before the scratch coat or after?
Just worried the crack will widen and will transfer to the tile over time.
