Rendering on house purchase

Purchasing a property, 3 bed semi which is mostly rendered. I'm concerned about the bottom finish to the rendering as there is no drip stop and appears to have been "repaired" by smoothing to the brick. All the mortar has failed in the brickwork below the render. My proposal is to cut up a 2 bricks and install a drip step and re render and repoint. Unsure if it is line or cement. Replace the air bricks also. Another concern is how high the flags and concrete are that they may have breached the DPC. Any advice welcome

Can't say by looking at pictures.
If it sounds hollow or in poor condition it's going to have to come off.
I've been following this DIY guy that's removed all the house render. Been on a rendering course and doing it all himself.
Maybe you could watch for interest..

Thanks for that I'll take a look. The rest of the render appears in good order besides one crack by the bay window and is not blown anywhere I've checked. I was thinking because there's been no drip stop that's why the lowest sections only have deteriorated.
