Repair to concrete floor & new wood flooring help!

I've had builders in to replace a cracked sewer pipe and they had to go through the kitchen floor - result being I now have a 3'x4' patch of fresh concrete somewhere between 4 and 8 inches deep in the corner.
Most of this will be underneath the kitchen units where I wont be laying the new solid wood floor, but about 18"x18" will be exposed and floored over.

Wisdom at these forums states 1 month per 1" of depth drying time before laying flooring over the top. Is there any way I can get around that, as I don't want to wait 8 months to lay the floor!

We can't change the laws of physics.
It really does take that long for concrete to dry, force drying it will get you nowhere besides a poor quality underfloor

I feared as much and asked the builders to avoid making the hole go beyond where the units would sit, but they had no choice due to an underfloor support beam in the way

Guess I'll have to leave one corner of the floor unfinished for a few months and only fit the planks in place when I've got company coming
