Hi I had a new half brick porch fitted last year, as it turns out the guys doing it were a bunch of cowboys. In the main it is fine but the internal floor level is to high as it is the same level as my original front door step. Also the screed layer has large stones in it and is cracking slightly in places.
I took pics during the work and know there is a insulation and a DPM down. The floor moves very slightly when I stand in the corners probably due to the insulation.
I am thinking of breaking the screed up and relaying with a better quality mix and leaving some spare height for a leveling mix and then tiles.
Can I do this or will the DPM get damaged? Ideas?
Thanks in advance
