My system is now 10yrs old and I am informed that the sensors heads should be replaced. The original installer company no longer exists and the co that I use for the annual testing has quoted me ~£1k for 10no. units. I have seen them available for ~£30 each and so no idea where they get their costs from.
The challenge that I have is knowing exactly which ones to buy and whether they will slip straight on to the existing bases.
I have the (old style) removal tool and have checked under for serial numbers etc but cannot see anything visible.
Can anyone please advise.

I hope…..it’s done every 6 months not yearly
Also is it worth going to court IF something did go wrong and you were the last person to touch/ alter the fire alarm ? Think that £1000 would be a drop in the ocean ….
Also get another quote ?
