I want to remove a track light and replace it with a basic ceiling rose.

Currently I have an armored cable from mains supply into my log cabin, where there is a consumer unit. Inside the log cabin, running from the consumer unit, there is a single cable running to the light switch. There is then a separate cable coming out of the light switch in to the track light (see pictures). In pic below, the track light is the white bit on right

I am pretty sure it's a simple swap of cabling. Removing track light and connect wiring into pendant- neutral to N, live to live and earth to earth

Can someone confirm before I go ahead?

Cheers

Then it should be a simple case of three conductors to the pendant.

Just make sure the dimmer is compatible with the new lamp.
