Replace traditional with bar mixer shower

Hi,
I have an old unit that I cant source cartridge for and looking at replacement, will the copper pipes be long enough to replace with this unit?

'Fraid not, that connects the opposite way to a bar shower.

Your exposed shower feeds are tails that come through the wall, then a nut and olive is placed onto them (in essence a female connection) and then the valve's connections being male then fit onto the tails and connect up to the nuts/olive and then it's all tightened up.
A bar shower connects the opposite way, the shower has the nuts captive on the valve and that fits onto a fixing kit that connects onto the supply tails and that has male ends.

If you managed to get the nut and olive off the tail without pipe damage then you could try and see if they are long enough to fit a fixing kit onto them but I wouldn't hold your breath.

As above ive managed to do it couple of time when pipework in stud wall using a fast fix kit.
By the way matt black brasswear soon looks crap unless you have a obsessive cleaner.

With these fittings, I shoukd be able to fit the bar?

Yes they are 150mm apart, just was not sure they protrude enough for the fitting,this video seems to show a fix for that.

Also checked and hot is on left side as you look at shower.

That's what they're for so yes.
You might even get away with using your existing nuts and olives... Saves trying to remove them.
