Hi all, not sure which forum was best to ask this so apologies if this is the wrong place.

I got a gas fire replaced a few months ago (fire and hearth were replaced, new balanced flue to replace power flue). It was carried out by a reputable company who are gas safe registered etc. However, I've realised that I never got a gas safe certificate for the job - all I got after the job was complete was a receipt/warranty and registration of warranty letter from the manufacturer.

Question is, should I have received more to confirm that the work was formally registered in some way? I thought I'd ask here before going to the showroom to ask them directly (and not bother if I don't need to!)

Many thanks

You should have received a gas safe Owners/landlords certificate, then the company/engineer installing the appliance would then notify this work to gas safe, which will then result in you getting a certificate of notification from gas safe. This should be done within 4 weeks of the work being completed.
