Hi

We are converting a former commercial stone building into a house. The bedrooms will be in the roofspace like a dormer bungalow and we are planning to use Velux. We are not allowed to create dormers.

All the rotten windows on the ground floor will need to be replaced too. We are thinking that we would probably prefer maintenance free windows. So I was wondering what ground floor windows would be a good match for the Velux.

One of the windows will be a large bifold patio door

I'm looking for recommendations about suppliers of windows, or for any advice on chosing ... what would you do if it was your home and why.

Cheers !

If I had the money I would have Velfac, aluminium on the inside, timber on the outside. Because they're awesome. There are other manufacturers offering similar nowadays I believe though.

I'd go all aluminium especially if you're having a bifold
You could get these to then match the Ral of Velux
The anthracite and slate are close but not exact
