Replacements for Metal Halide floodlights?

You'll struggle to replicate the intensity of halide lamps using LED. The 30w fitting above will be woeful compared to a 70w halide. It's not rated twice as bright at all (LED flood in the link = 1800 lumen, typical 70w halide bulb = 6200 lumen) https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/LACMIdashTD70NDL.html

While I defer to you knowledge of the product, I was meerly quoting the comparison made at https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/LTFL30PIRWW.html
where it stated
"Led Colour: Warm White 2900K
Nom. Watts: 30w
Lumen: 1800
Halogen Equiv.: 200w"

I do note that https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/LACMIdashTD70NDL.html states "Light output (lm) 6200"

The lamp for the existing flood light (LA MH70 is all glass with a slightly longer nominal length than the "ceramic" one to which you referred) is stated (at https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/LAMH70.html ) as having "Lumen output: 5800" which is not much different.
So, these halide lamps are still available and can be used with the existing lamp, unless it is this which requires replacement.

I replaced a couple of halide floods with 20w LEDs (cheap ones from CPC).
They are nowhere near as bright as the halides and the beam angle is very wide (had to put hoods on them to prevent neighbour irritation).
Colour temp is cold as you'd expect, if you want to warm it up while staying cheap then theatre lighting gel is your friend (Lee 205 or 206 might help).
Convenience and economy wise they're great- instant full power.
Useability- mine are to light up the driveway and garden so I can move caravan, bikes etc at night, they do the job more or less. The halides were bright enough to do detail work.
