Replacing 12v Extractor Fan - where is the transformer ?

Hi all, I have removed an old 12v wall mounted extractor fan operated from the light switch in the bathroom. The new one comes with a transformer but there was/is no transformer visible anywhere ? I know a transformer is needed but cant figure out where it is ? Any ideas ? Can I risk just attaching the new fan ?

Did you have a good look at the old fan,could the traffo possibly be built into the fan

Im not too sure ive never installed or even seen a 12v fan
Could it be a 12 watt fan by any chance???

im the other way round on that,ive never seen a 12watt fan but tons of 12v.i bet the transformers been lobbed up in the loft
