If I replace the conusmer unit in domestic premises the main earth has to be upgraded to 16mm but do I have to upgrade the earth to Gas and Water to 10mm too?

If you have TNC-S, deffo. If you have TN-S, you may get away with less if the adiabatic allows. TT, you may use 6mm².
depending on the size of the live conductors, yes..
Yes it is TN-C-S system and tails are 25mm! Thought that was the case! Thanks
