Replacing a filler loop, DIY job?

So if I leave the circled part attached (see new photo) and just remove at the arrow, the NRV will hold the water in the system?

I have the full loop purchased from screwfix above

Thanks all, was nice and easy to do. I've noticed a slight leak in the NRV now anyway (very very slow) so will replace that when it get's a bit warmer and i have time to drain the system.
