I need to fit a brick in a wall where there's one missing and don't want to buy a big bag of cement etc. to fit it if possible. Is there another good way of doing it? Silicone or something?
Oh right brilliant that'll do perfect, cheers. I'm actually not sure how I'll make sure it's all around the brick as I replace it. should I squeeze it into the gap above and to the sides with an icing bag or something?
You will need to do it in stages, quite possibly.
Top and bottom maybe, plus one side? Don't worry too much about the pointing, so leave room for it.
Then fill the other side's gap once it's set, wait a day tthen point to match whatever you have on the wall.
A bit of wood/offcut from a bit of hose will blend the pointing in.
Let the pointing almost dry then use a stiff brush to remove any spillages.
