I have just installed a Sapphire tank from Elson
Pipework was fitted as per the labelling on the new tank
Back boiler fired up hot water started to rise on the upfeed pipe and zilch !!
Bled it cursed it and kicked it
Rotated the hot water riser pipe with the hot water return pipe and Presto the pipe became very hot up to the point of entry on the underside of the tank
The exit pipe which is in the same place produced a very weak and slightly warm flow.
Due to time constraints we had to leave it like that overnight to see if the tank does warm up correctly
We are assuming that we are feeding the coil the wrong way around but as we were getting more action than with the original configuration we left it on test
Has anyone else had this problem
