I have a NEFF oven and my element has gone. The replacement element does not have an earth plate to connect the earth to. The website that we purchased it from says...

"In some instances particularly with Bosch/Neff ovens some of the replacement elements do not have an earth tag fitted. In these instances where an earth wire connected to the original element it will be necessary to isolate the earth wire to the wiring harness in order to keep it safe from the fan motor or live connections."

But we're not sure what the last sentence means-what do we do with the earth wire? Leave ikt dangling? Ensure it doesn't touch something else?? Help!!

The element must be a pattern element not purchased from neff, however the earth connection can be insulated with insulating tape and tucked out of the way from moving and electrical parts.

PVC tape will melt so fold it & tuck it away so that if the pvc tape melts the wire will not cause a short.
