We have a dormer style house with a flat roof at the front and rear.
We had the flat roofs refelted a few years ago but now the barge boards on one corner (barge boards are the vertical pieces of wood that go up under the felt) are rotten and need to be replaced.

Can I lift the felt in order to replace the whole board or do I need to get a roofer in?

Sorry if I'm a bit vague but I'm not really sure of the best way to proceed.

TIA Pete

The felt running along the leading edge of a flat roof is called a welted drip and is normally fixed to the fascia board, it may be possible to prise it loose to allow you to remove the facing.
