First off I would like to say hi to everyone as I am a new poster, looks like a very good forum for information and apologies if this has been covered before but I couldnt find it anywhere.

Right. I intend to replace my bath with a shower and when I removed the bath panel I saw the drainaway had been leaking for a while and all the chipwood flooring is soft and you could push your finger through it in places, so I intend to remove all the chipboard and replace with ply.

I just wondered what is the best way to remove the flooring as I know it runs under the walls into other rooms?
Do I cut the board along the wall and if so whats the best way to go about this re tools etc?

Many thanks in advance.

heeelllooo and welcome baldybongo :D :D :D

if the stud wall runs accross the joists then cut up to the wall if it runs parralell to the joists you need to stop on the last joist and join there

Watch out for pipework under the flooring. A friend of mine cheerfully jigsawed into his central heating when he was cutting a trap in a chipboard floor. What a mess!

Cheers guys and thanks for the quick replies. I am currently buying my new shower room a bit at a time so whilst I am still looking for bargains I will have a good look at the way the chipboard is laid and let you know how I get on.
