I have recently moved into an old property and have an old boiler approx 1975. This seems to be working okay, however I want to change the Boiler Time Clock controller as this looks a bit Dinosaur!! and install a new digital room thermostat.

From the back of the boiler there appears to be 2-leads, one I am guessing is the 240v mains connections as this has cable has L,N & Earth wire, and the other I am not sure (this only has Live/Neutral connection) is this for the pump or motor???

My question is will I be able to replace the Boiler Time Control Clock with a newer style 7-day digital device install this onto the boiler and then wire a new digital room thermostat from this controller?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Will need more infi ie fully pumped or gravity what controls you have if any etc.You may be better off changing blr as efficiency will be very low (well under 65%)

Unfortunately the budget will not be able to extend to a new boiler. it will be something I will look at in the future though. Not sure what type of boiler, its a floor standing Central Heating & Hot Water Boiler thats about all I know.
