Replacing door handles

You need to establish why they dont lock, if you simply replace and the originals are not installed correctly you will have the same problem.
 
These bathroom/toilet door handles often fail and it helps to lightly grease the mechanism inside....fitting like for like means you won't need to drill new holes for the fixing screws. Hardly a major issue and there's no need to carve up the doors!

Thanks will try the grease, I don't have a Howdens account I doubt they will let me open an account. Perhaps I will walk into Wickes and see if they can match one up
