Morning all,

I need to replace the keyless drill chuck but the screw inside to release it has been worn beyond all recognition so there's no chance of loosening it. Is there anyway to replace it or do I have to accept it's time to buy a new drill?

Appreciate your help, thank you

that's probably because whoever tried to remove it in the past didn't realise it may have a left hand thread.

If you have another drill then you could drill the screw, with a left handed thread there is also the chance drilling it will loosen for normal extraction.Or brute strength, forgot to remove screw once and snapped the screw while holding in a vice and forcing it off with a big set of stillsons.
