Hi all, currently have a fence on top of a low brick wall between me and my neighbour I’m looking to replace as it’s pretty rotten.

the posts are currently concreted into the wall and the horizontal beams run through the posts so there’s no set size for the panels.

therefore I’m thinking of concreting some brackets as shown in the attached images for the posts so I can have a set 1800mm gap for some fence panels to go in.

Just wondering if this sounds like the right way to go about this or if other would attack it slightly differently?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Have installed a few fences, so by no means an expert but...

If the posts are loose (which they look like they might be) you could just replace and build off them using brackets to support rails? Or use the hole to add your dohickey and add posts but just use the existing hole.
