i will be replacing my whole bathroom soon and will be tiling the floor, a lot of people mention using a marine ply screwing down into existing floorboards, but could i remove the floorboards and screw the marine ply to the joists instead, and what thickness would be best to use? 15mm? thanks for the advise

It depends on the condition of the existing boards, and how flat they are.....but 15mm is too thin. 22mm would be my choice.
John :)
