could anyone share with me the best place to get floorboards from for an old 1912 terraced house. I need to replace a few split and broken ones but the type sold in B+Q are too wide and not deep enough. (no one will see the end result, it will be covered) Thanks.

You will need a timber merchant, bring a piece of your floor board with you and they can 'machine' it for you. (cut to size)

planed timber from the diy sheds will be 18mm from a wood yard it will be around 22mm[1"] by say 94mm[4"] 119[5"] 145[6"]169[7"]
wood yards quote the pre worked sizes before planing
if its txg it will be around 7mm smaller than above as in 6"will be 138mm ish
