Hi Folks, looking for some advice please. The wooden plinth leading in to the garage is rotting as there appears to be water ingress underneath it so see no point in repainting etc . . .

So, looking to replace it with a brick plinth, something like a brick plinth stretcher

How easy would it be to replace for a good brickie? Would the doors need to be removed and resized? If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be very grateful. Pics below . . .

Can't see any rotting wood......

Easier and cheaper to replace the threshold with the same properly painting it and sealing it

Those brick stretchers are not designed to be used as a threshold and not only would become a trip hazard , when you do trip on them (which you will) you will loosen the brick and might even kick it out completely....
