Replacing grill element in New World electric oven

I have a fairly old New World e70doa double electric oven. The grill element in the top oven has packed up, so I bought a replacement, which I plan to have a go at fitting myself.

I assume I first need to pull the oven right out to access the back. I have a couple of questions:

As it's a double oven, will just the top oven come out or are they attached together such that both ovens come out as a single unit?

Do I need to take the door(s) off first? Some videos suggest you must do that - is that just to reduce the weight? It doesn't look straightforward to remove the door, I haven't found any instructions online for this model. See this photo of one of the hinges:

Finally found a helpful video! It relates to a Belling oven, but the door removal mechanism is the same as mine.


Both doors now off.
