replacing gu10's for the 3w led

I'm thinking of replacing a number of normal gu10's for the led GU10 3w's

some of these resellers say that these bulbs cannot be dimmed by a halogen dimmer.

what does this mean. what kind of dimmer are we speaking about

The regular everyday commonplace standard dimmer switch that you find on sale everywhere.

Basically if you have a dimmer switch controlling 12V or 130V lights it isn't going to work with the LED lamps.
