firstly plz forgive my lack of basic plumbing knowledge. When trying to replace kitchen tap (mixer) i found that the copper pipes that came with the tap are too thin to connect properly to the mains pipes resulting in a severe leak under the sink. Have i purchased the wrong kind of taps or is there a connector i can buy to secure them better?

Take the taps to a plum merchant ask ask for a compression fitting to fit to 15 mm pipe :D
