Replacing Lintel

Hi,I want to replace a window with a bigger one in turn I need to replace the lintel.I live in a bungalow,the inner wall has a concrete lintel and the outer wall has what looks like a peice of angle iron.I want to replace with a catnic lintel.My question to you is how many akro props to use on the joists?The width of the window means I will have to support 5/6 joists.Now do I need an prop for each joist or can I span from prop to prop if so what would be best to support joists?Hope you can help and thanks.

A length of suitable timber, say a 9' 4X2''. With 2 props a foot in from either end and you're sorted.
