Hi all,

I have internal 4 panel wooden doors which are about 84 x 36" (and 45 mm thick - sorry for mixed measurements) and I'm having real problems sourcing appropriate new ones without raised (bevel edged panels).

I'd really like to stick with panels that are ~20 mm thick with a nice moulding around and am prepared to make the doors myself. However, I wondered for the panels whether it is a reasonable aim to find wood for the panels which is ~20mm thick and ~340mm wide these days as I seem to be running into problems. Am I going to be forced into making up my own panels (with biscuit or plywood joints) and will these stand up to the natural movement of woods in doors?

Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

M.
