howdens doors

What do people think to the howdens internal doors.

i am looking at biying the hardwood, victorian oak door (4 panel).

They seem a nice door. i think they are veneered and not actually solid.

Is this a problem ?

They are very good quality and very good value.

I haven't ever fitted one of their hardwood internal doors but fitted a few hardwood exterior doors and they're fantastic.

Got an internal door from them, at first glance looked very good, however badly damaged on the side, looks like in the production process, salesman came out and said this was a normal occurance. Have now got trading standards involved, will never buy doors from them again.

I wouldn't say that Howdens products were any better or worse than any other large supplier, however they have never quibbled when it comes to swapping faulty or damaged goods.

No question, "bring it in and we will swap it".

It is rare to find solid wood doors. Most are veneer on an engineered core.
