Resin Bonding the pebbledash external wall

We would like to have our external wall pebbledash painted and were offered by Treatexwall.com to have the wall resin bonding.... which they say last much longer than painting and allow the wall to breath. However, our double glazing trademan said that there has been a number of cases (not this company) about resin bonding which cause problems. could we pls have your view
