In the survey that I had prior to purchasing my house it was noted that I the gable end wall bows out slightly and it was recommended that restraint straps be fitted so as fix it where it is.
The surveyor recommended that these straps be bolted to the flank wall and to the first three or four sections of joists.

Also what fixings should I be using both into the wall and the joist? The wall is of solid construction.
