Resurrecting long dead threads

Why do you have such a problem with this?
Its not your site, Admin have said what they want so why do you keep going on and on and on about this.

To say it is boring is an understatement!

I have brought it up umpteen times, only to get the same answer.
What did someone say is a sure sign of insanity?

Its stupid to allow it but thats what admin want
There's nothing stupid about it.

I agree whole heartedly agree with you and everyone else ( i never started this thread)
Not everyone else. I don't see anything wrong with posting to old threads - whether or not it's valid is defined by the other forum rules, e.g. hijacking.

admin have never come up with a 100% valid answer as to why you should be able to reply to old posts.
It's my view that the express wish of the site owner to run the site in the way he/she wishes is an entirely valid one.

Is Breezer married to Admin?

That could explain it.

Just my opinion but a 'long dead' thread could have offered some advice to do a certain thing which, a couple of years ago, may have been the safest way to get round a problem.
In the intervening years, it may have been discovered that the procedure that was advised is now either against the regulations or positively dangerous.

To post a correction could possibly save someone who has a similar problem and is searching for a solution, from trying out a deadly or dangerous cure to their problem. If they came acxross the 'long dead' thread and read through it they would discover a more upto date solution.

Don't lock old threads for that reason, just monitor who and what is being posted in resurrected threads.
