I am going to be doing a cavity tie replacement on a house i rent out.

It definitely has CT failure. So i am looking at the mechanical driven fixing system as i have brick inner and outer, so quite solid.

The best price for 100 fixings are about £85 per 100. I need three boxes. The size is 8mm x 220mm.

Does anyone know where i can get these fixings a bit cheaper ?

I assume you've tried the obvious just asked for a discount. 3+ can be a price break for some things

Helifix, like twistfix make a similar looking product, but I cannot see a "cheap" Helifix kit, suppose it comes as what could be called a market leader??

I have seen twist fix and helifix. The thin joint ties are cheap, but i think they are designed for the light blocks. The normal ones which go into brick are £85 per 100.

Wall fast.co.uk have the best priced fixings at £70 plus VAT for 100.

I thought the ties were driven in using SDS. I will need to check this out.

Trevor, if you have a look at the Helifix site there is a good visual representation of what [Helifix] say there product can be capable of ???

There are also some neoprene ones that you might like to look at.
