We are having a dormer fitted so most of the roof tiles have already been removed from the back of the house.

At the front of he house since we have probably 60 year old french terracotta tiles with no felt so we are having this replaced. The builder has suggested that our old tiles are in good condition and could be reused. But in order to refit he will have to drill holes.

Are we better off replacing the old tiles with new ones (since we are taking off the old ones and felting anyway) or would the old tiles still outlast the new modern ones ?
