Richard Tice and Isobel Oakshott move to Dubai

If you want to leave, leave

If you want this society, pay for it.

Those who have the most unfortunately have to pay more.
Those who have the most choose where they pay it.

The sooner the wealth-haters learn that, the better and wealthier the country will be.

9.5k millionaires leaving is probably around 2bn in income tax lost a year.

I know a lot of wealthy people leaving as a result of the budget. They’ll be back in a few years. The fear is the tax grab is not over yet. The target won’t be reached due to changes in behaviour.

Job cutbacks. Restructuring income etc.

It’s widely reported that there has been an uptick in leavers.

Wealthy non-doms have been targeted with additional taxes, which has prompted many of them to leave the country

Rightly or wrongly, life and the way money is distributed doesn't work that way.
He couldn't spend that in UK elections, and would be taxed more on it
If I'm an extremely successful businessman and want to influence decisions in my direction, and reckon I can achieve this by using money, I'm not thinking 'this £x could be better spent on the needy.'
Let's take the decision out of their hands

Out of the wealthy persons hands?

They aren’t prisoners. Lots of countries want to welcome them.

Italy had a low tax policy for returning ex-pats.

By ensuring the law limits the amount that can be spent on political parties and elections. There still needs to be an inquiry into Russsian money influencing Brexhit. Musck is a classic example of how huge political donations unfairly benefit the super wealthy, personally and politically

I don’t want to pay taxes to fund politics.

And we can’t have laws saying no wealthy donors and at the same time allowing union funding.

I don't have a problem with wealthy donors, it's about regulating what they give.

So you want a cap on how much they get? Don’t you think they will find ways? e.g. the free gear scandal

He can , but he does not have the right to burn Earths resources for his ambitions!
He is actually helping by burning methane in his starship and booster which is better than releasing it in the atmosphere.

I appreciate we cant have tax revenue spent on party campaigning, but in this country there is far too much power that lobbyists can yield over political parties

the wealthy give money to buy influence..............which makes a mockery of democracy.
