right silcone

changing some misted up glass units no more than 300 mm sq, is it possible wrong silcone could have been used in the first place, if so what the correct 1 to use

any help would be appreciated

possibly yes, some products contain solvents and will attack the seals.
You should use a low modulus, neutral cure silicone.

would everbuild 335 construction silcone be ok

again don't think so as that is a reactive cure you need a neutral cure, low modulus
