I have just done my second scratch coat. I am not sure whether to do another one before my final coat. The wall needs building up about 15mm in the deepest place running to 5 mm. Is 15mm ok to bulid up in 1 go or is it best doing another scratch coat first. ?

you can apply coats of render to whatever thickness the mortar will stand before it starts creeping or slumping down the wall.
coats of render can be applied whilst previous coats are still curing. in other words, once the render is firm enough, fire away. you don't have to wait till the next day!
