Noticed that someone has nicked a roadwheel bolt from my car. The dealer wants £3.80 for a replacement. Is it dodgy getting one from a scrapyard? a new one would look cockeyed with 3 old bolts next to it.
I wouldn't be worried about using secondhand ones, they are designed for multiple usage, just do a visual check, if the threads ore OK and there is no other damage I would use them.
Yes, I'd be happy with 2nd hand. Just be sure to get some off a vehicle with the same sort of wheels as yours. There could be subtle differences in the cone angle or thread length otherwise.
