I recently was having trouble with my Hotpoint WD420, rocks1 suggested the hot valve. me being not very technical, called out hotpoint, they suggested main PCB failed. I am still waiting for hotpoint to come back.

I decided to take off the top of my machine and poke around, and hay presto, the thing has jumped back into life, it appears there is a loose connection on the hot water valve....

Rocks, If i had taken your advice, and not spent £100 waiting for hotpoint, i would have sorted this last week.

Hiya, i phoned hotpoint today and told them that i had found the fault with the hot water valve as i was fed up waiting for them to call me as they thought the main pcb was faulty.
they said the pcb is faulty and will take about 2 weeks, i explained that i have tracked it to the valve and replaced it and now the machine works,
apparently i am wrong,
i will send them a nice fax in the morning......
