I have applied a first coat of ronseal Danish oil to my breakfast bar but it looks a lot darker than I hoped. Is there any way of lightening up the look of the wood either before or when I add further coats?
Thanks in advance

Any finish will slightly darken the colour of wood, regardless of what it is. What speces is your work top?

The worktop is oak. I am thinking of using osmo poly-oil in white to knock the colour back.
