Hi All

Quick question. Have any of you heard of breatheable Tyvek roofing felt. We've had a quote that says that this is what they'll use and we just wanted to make sure it was good or whether we should use another type/brand.

Cheers.

we only ever use breathable, Tyvek is one of the best.

it does not rip as easily as standard underslaters felt, but is 10 times the cost.

it is fairly lightweight and easy to use, though on a windy day, can be a bit tricky.

hi
tyvek is defo one of the best breathable felts around it costs around 120 pounds a roll but that will cover 150 sqm and it doesn't rot and as it breathable its all the ventilation your roof needs

not so quick, robbo, things are changing down there at building control.
there is talk, (there always is) of introducing fitted vents, i.e. overfascia or soffit type vents, along side breathable membranes.

i'm sure Tyvek will have their pound of flesh, in the debate.
