Roof garden?

I've recently moved into a house....1850 victorian terrace. It has had an extension, built in the 70's, whcih has a flat roof - which seems pretty sturdy and looks fine.

I want to use it as a roof terrace - putting some decking on it, just for a few chairs and a table.

I don't want to go out and do this if the roof isn't strong enough to walk on - how can i work out if it is?

Tell us size of roof joists, spacing of joists and span. Maybe some photos.
