Roof vent

Hi

Please see the attached photo

The question is whether we should worry about the current state of the vent/tile situation? can it be left as is or is there something wrong with the way it is?

no expert but those tiles should be flat
but apart from that as long as the metal trim is under the tiles above by at least one overlap then it should be ok watertight even if its not neat

Not the prettiest of jobs!

Not much care has been taken whilst trimming around the vent stack hence the dipping tiles where the roofing battens are missing etc.

A couple of hours work of a ladder would put that right.

Get rid of it and use an in line vent.
