Hi I am currently looking at soil vent pipe routes to a house, however the situaation is i the bathroom is situated under a roof terrace and the last thing i want is a big SVP sticking out of the middle of my roof terrace so is there a way i can vent it out horizonatlly through the wall instead of up through the roof???
An air admittance valve is not an option

if you are only venting then the route won't matter all that much, although going vertically straight up is probably the most efficient way. just make sure you are ultimately, higher than the drain and the correct distances from openable windows.

 a soil vent pipe can be reduced to 3" if necessary.

thanks for the reply, yeah i can avoid windows and it is only venting. so if i bring the vent pipe up to the joist level and just turn it out through the wall i should be ok.........?
